Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade Parking Ban Saturday

Newly released, Newport's St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, but the parking ban goes into effect six hours before the event. The parade will proceed from City Hall to Washington Square and continue on Thames Street before Carroll Avenue. Public parking is available at the Gateway Center on America’s Cup Avenue and the Waterfront Lot on Mary Street. The police will enforce Newport City Ordinations, including open containers of alcohol in public, underage drinking, disorderly conduct, and noise violations.
