Houston roof takes away likely Yordan Alvarez home run in bizarre scene

Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez was penalized for hitting a ball too hard during a game against the Angels. The ball was initially ruled a foul ball, but after it hit the scaffolding below the roof, it fell into the stands. Home plate umpire Chris Conroy stated that when the ball struck the roof over fair territory, it remained live. This decision was overturned after a review. If not for Alvarez, the ball would have been a home run.
