The University of Alaska Anchorage men’s basketball team advanced to regionals despite falling short of a conference title. The high school basketball postseason saw notable victories, including a win for Dimond boys and Bartlett girls, who defended their titles in the Cook Inlet Conference regional championship game against Service, marking their second consecutive win. The senior Amelio Ambrosio led the Lynx's 10th win in a row and led the team with 20 points. The girls championship game between Bartlett and Service was tough, with only one point separating the two teams after the first period. In the professional level, the Mountain City Christian Academy girls team avenged its home loss to top-seeded Mountain Christian Academy, avenging their previous loss to the Northern Lights Conference.
