Consumer organizations are warning the world's 1.8 billion iPhone users about an email scam designed to steal personal info and banking details. The scam involves seemingly legitimate emails informing users that their iCloud storage is full, leading them to upgrade their accounts or risk losing all their important data. The emails, which are often signed by Apple representatives, often include a link that enables the upgrade to a larger plan. The US Federal Trade Commission has urged users not to click links and to contact Apple if they receive such messages.
