ICE has requested that a person of interest being questioned in connection with the murder of Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman, who was shot in the head at a beach near campus, should not be released from custody. The Department of Homeland Security alleges that the person being questioned is an undocumented immigrant from Venezuela. The charges have not yet been officially approved by Chicago police. Gorman was just months away from finishing her first year of college and was not the intended target of the shooting. Her family has urged anyone with information to come forward.
