Teen charged after Leinbach Park mass shooting set to appear in court

Joel Michael Gamble-Toliver, 18, was among several people shot in a mass shooting at Leinbach Park in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Monday morning. The incident occurred after a "planned fight" escalated into a shooting. Investigators believe Gamble-toliver came to the park intending to participate in a pre-arranged fight and allegedly fired a gun during the fight. He was charged with felony child abuse and served outstanding warrants before being charged with felon rioting. Other victims of the shooting included Erubey Romero Medina, 17, and Daniel Jimenez Millian, both of whom attended school in the district. The shooting occurred near Mt. Tabor High School and Thomas Jefferson Middle School.
