The Netflix series, Bridgerton, is set to begin its fifth season following the death of Francesca (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela (Michaela Baduza) in a love story. This follows Francesca's attempt at second love with Michaela, who was introduced at the end of Season 3 of the series in a gender-bending move that showrunner Jess Brownell felt was natural. The season 5 is expected to question social structure in multiple ways. New cast additions include Tega Alexander (Mobland, The Sandman), Jacqueline Boatswain (Carnival Row) and Gemma Knight Jones (Moblands), who will play Christopher Anderson, a Regency-era Casanova. The series has been split into two parts, with the final two episodes split into four.
