After the end of season 4 of Bridgerton, Araminta (Katie Leung) was revealed as a villain in the series, after she was confronted by Sophie (Sophie) and Benedict (Bridgerton) after eight episodes of the series. The revelation came after Sophie and Benedict discovered Sophie's father's will, revealing that he left Sophie a dowry and had asked Araminte to look after it. Araminto also became estranged from her step-daughter, Posy, and later became closer to Rosamund. The series is based on the books The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After, which suggests Hyacinth poisoned or tampered with her food due to dissatisfaction with Aramintas' treatment of Posy. Following the series finale, the showrunner for the series revealed that Aramintsa moves out of her new home in Grosvenor Square, which was next door to Bridginton House.
