Serena senior Cassie Walsh and Somonauk/Leland freshman Brielle Deacon won the Little Ten Conference softball title for the second time in three days. Walsh managed to secure a 1-0 victory over the Bobcats, which closed out Serena's undefeated 10-7 overall and 8-0 in league action. The lone run came in the fifth inning, with a walk and error set up Anna Hjerpe's sacrifice fly. Walsh finished the complete game with a complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits with one walk and four strikeouts. Deacon went six innings without any earned runs, allowing only two hits, no walks, and two strikeouts.
