The Windy City Thunderbolts, a minor league team that plays its home games in Crestwood, is seeking host families for players. The team typically has 25 players on its roster and hopes to find homes for 15 of them. Johnny Sole, director of community relations for the team, said the team tries to make good matches between players and host families using a questionnaire that lists the home's layout, makeup of the family, and if there are pets. The only requirement is players have their own bedroom and some space to store belongings. In return for hosting players, families receive free season tickets, discounts at the merchandise store and free food and nonalcoholic beverages.
