The veteran of the Afghan Special Forces was able to flee the Taliban to the UK when it took control of the country in 2000, through the government's Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy. He was also able to become a British citizen after living in the UK for at least five years. The incident occurred in Weymouth, where two teenage girls were arrested for questioning.
