Cathedral Catholic beats Francis Parker for Division 1 boys team tennis title

Cathedral Catholic has won the CIF San Diego section boys team tennis finals six times since 2008, but only lost to No. 3 Francis Parker 12-6. The top-seeded Dons won seven of nine doubles matches, including Gavin Gerken and Maverik Denton. In singles, all three Dons recorded wins in two of three matches. St. Augustine won the Division 2 crown after defeating No. 11 Eastlake 11-7.
