A group of potential owners, including the Haslam Sports Group, Dr. Pete Edwards and Nationwide Insurance, is seeking to bring professional women's soccer to Columbus. If approved, the potential team would join the National Women's Soccer League in 2028. The city has been involved in the process of securing the team.
