Booneville volunteer firefighters walk off the job during meeting; board of directors responds

A house fire in Davidson County, Georgia, has left a child dead after a fire broke out on KLEINERT ROAD in Thomasville, where it occurred on Thursday. The child was found unconscious and could not walk after being trapped inside the house. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Davidson County Fire Marshal's office and the Davidson county's PILOT TRIANGLE and THOMASVILLE Fire Departments. Two law enforcement officers were treated for SMOKE INHALATION but have not been updated on their condition. WXII 12's SARAH SOWERS joins in on the investigation. The fire was reported to have started at around 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, causing significant damage to the building and causing significant disruption to the landscape.
