A video circulating on social media purportedly showing a distraught US soldier in the remains of a building destroyed by an Iranian attack has been created using AI technology. The video was flagged down by a detection tool as likely AI-generated. It also showed a number of visual errors and inconsistencies, including the size of the soldier's phone, his movements, and the American flag patches on his sleeves contradict military guidance. At least 25 Iranian attacks have targeted US sites or locations housing US military personnel in the Middle East since the start of the war, according to AFP analysis. There have been no official reports of US embassies or facilities damaged, nor any US military bases in Iran's capital Tehran.
