Mali's Foreign Minister, Abdoulaye Diop, has endorsed Morocco's plan to establish an independent government in Western Sahara, becoming the latest African country to endorse this plan. The proposal would establish a local legislative, executive and judicial authority for Western Sahara based on its residents, while Rabat would retain control over defence, foreign affairs, and religious matters.
