Concourse expansion with new concessions opens at Norfolk airport

A three-gate expansion and two locally themed shops have opened at Norfolk International Airport (or ORF), part of a $1 billion capital improvement project. The expansion, which includes nearly 19,000 square feet of floor-to-ceiling views of the airfield, includes more restrooms and an indoor pet relief area. Bruce Smith's 200 Sack Club, a bar and grill honoring the namesake Pro Football Hall of Fame member, is also set to open soon. The airport opened a new $25 million international arrivals building in March and is set to undergo further projects including a new consolidated passenger security checkpoint, a consolidated car rental facility and overall terminal upgrades.
