Scotland is seeing a significant increase in international visitor numbers, with 4.4 million international arrivals in 2024 expected to increase by more than 25% from pre-pandemic numbers in 2019. Luxury hotel chains are targeting Scotland for expansion, with The Edinburgh Grand being the first property under their Luxury Collection brand in Scotland. The 50-room property has been reconverted from a building that once housed the Royal Bank of Scotland by Chris Stewart Group and features a dry spa lined with with three treatment rooms designed by Spanish skincare brand Skeyndor. In the Scottish Highlands, the new five-star luxury hotel Dun Aluinn is also set to open later in April.
