A judge has overturned a decision by the Trump administration to restore the dismantled federal broadcasting operation, Voice of America. Over 1,000 employees had been placed on administrative leave last year by Kari Lake, the former news anchor appointed as the agency's CEO by President Donald Trump. The ruling means that the U.S. Agency for Global Media, which runs the VOA, will have until next week to develop a plan to get the agency back on track. This follows a ruling by Judge Royce Lamberth that Lake had been improperly installed as the Voa's CEO and thus was without authority to carry out its dismantling.
