Bill Cosby Hit With $19M Judgment After Losing Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Bill Cosby has been awarded $19.25 million in damages after a California jury found that he drugged and sexually assaulted Donna Motsinger during his latest sexual assault trial. The judgment will go to Matsinger, whom Cosby raped in 1972. Matsher claims that she met Cosby as a waitress and was invited to his stand-up act at the now-defunct Circle Star Theater. Cosby's lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, plans to appeal the verdict. The win is expected to be a significant financial setback for Cosby, who was convicted in a criminal case for sexual assault in 2018 and sentenced to three years in prison.
