UConn's Dan Hurley has endorsed Seton Hall for the NCAA Tournament, despite their recent semifinal loss to St. John's. Hurley believes that the Pirates' non-conference performance and upcoming Big East Tournament match will be a "death match". Despite ESPN's Joe Lunardi ranking them as the last four out of his "Last Four Out" list, Fox's Mike DeCourcy also believes that beating St.John's in the semis wouldn't have been enough for the Pirates. SetonHall currently stands at 21-12, 10-10 in the Big East.
