Archaeologists may have found the remains of Charles de Batz de Castelmore d'Artagnan, a legendary French Musketeer popularized in the "Three Musketeers" novels, at a church in the Netherlands. The remains were discovered 350 years after d'artagnan died during a siege of Maastricht. Archaeologists have swabbed DNA from the jawbone and are currently analyzing it against the musketeer's descendants to confirm it is really him. The real-life d’Artagnon died in 1673 after being hit by a musket ball during the French siege of Paastrichti. Despite this, scientists believe that this was where the Gascon nobleman was buried and the location of the site itself indicates significant significance.
