TSMC second-quarter profit jumps 23%, beating estimates, on high-end chip boom

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) reported a 23.4% increase in second-quarter profit, surpassing estimates. The company's net income for the three months ended in June was a record high for a fifth consecutive quarter. Revenue surged by 36%, a significant increase from the previous year's total of NT$933.9.
