The Underground Railroad Education Center in Albany, New York, has filed a lawsuit alleging that the Trump administration unlawfully terminated its $250,000 grant on the basis of race. The lawsuit accuses the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) of violating the First and Fifth Amendments by erasing things associated with the Black race. It alleges that the cancellation amounts to viewpoint and racial discrimination. The suit also criticizes President Donald Trump's efforts to eliminate any operations supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within 60 days. The White House did not immediately respond to the request for comment.
