West Mercia PCC welcomes funding boost to tackle rural crime

The £800,000 funding increase for tackling rural crime has been welcomed by West Mercia police chiefs. The funding will be invested into the National Wildlife Crime Unit and the National Rural Crime Unit. The area's rural landscape is particularly vulnerable to criminal activity, according to the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), John Campion. The PCC already supports local efforts to prevent crime and bring offenders to justice.
