Meat Puppets thrilled fans at Crescent Ballroom

The Valley's music band, Meat Puppets, returned to the stage for a sold-out show at Crescent Ballroom as part of the VIVA PHX festival on April 18. Despite rumors of their health issues, the band played a long set that included several songs from their most commercially successful album, "Too High to Die". The band has since become a five-piece, including Curt Kirkwood's son Elmo on guitar and jazz-trained keyboardist Ron Stabinsky. The performance was a welcome return for the Kirkwood brothers, Kirkwood and Dmitri Bostrum, who last played four years ago.
