The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets 101-94, giving them a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series. Despite the return of Kevin Durant, who scored only three of his 23 points in the second half, the Lakers managed to maintain a small lead throughout the fourth quarter. Marcus Smart scored 25 points and seven assists for the team. The Rockets struggled again, making only 40.9% of their shots and managing just seven 3-pointers.
