Warm weekend ahead, but a cold front is coming

The weather is expected to remain warm, bright, and beautiful, with temperatures reaching the low to mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. However, a cold front is expected and will move towards the Gulf Coast with showers and thunderstorms expected. Despite this, severe weather is not expected, however, moderate rainfall is possible across northern portions of the area, which will provide much-needed moisture for a region that has been dry. The high-pressure system behind the front will move in, ushering in drier air and dropping overnight lows into the upper 40s and lower 50s by Sunday night. The next week will see temperatures return to the low 80s and low humidity, with highs expected to reach near 80.
