A week disturbance has occurred overnight and left a light coating of snow in most locations across the country, affecting temperatures below the freezing mark. High pressure will control the forecast for the weekend, with temperatures expected to reach the mid-40s by Saturday afternoon and remain chilly throughout the day. However, a northwesterly flow will continue to warm things up, allowing temperatures to reach mid-60s by mid-night. Rain showers are expected late Monday night and there are also the possibility of thunderstorms. The weather will remain unsettled throughout the week, with chances of rain and high temperatures expected throughout the next few days.
