A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place for multiple counties in Western Pennsylvania, including Butler, Beaver, Indiana, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette, and Greene counties. The watch has been issued for the following areas. The main severe threats are damaging winds, heavy rain, large hail and brief spin-ups. The most active hours for heavy rain and thunderstorms will be between 5 p.m. and 10pm. The weather is expected to be more seasonal next week with highs only in moderate to moderate temperatures. A Severe Weather Alert continues until 10 pm.
