The Scream franchise, which has had a $200 million grosser in its first installment, has begun work on bringing Ghostface back for the eighth time. Lilla and Nora Zuckerman, sisters who recently were the showrunners on Poker Face and who've also written on Agents of SHIELD, Fringe, and Suits, have been chosen to write the screenplay for Scream 8. However, there is no word on the direction or future of the film, with director Kevin Williamson recently stating he does not want to return to direct. The series has been in a creative black hole since the last installment of Scream 5 and 6, which was largely panned by critics.
