Davis Martin, the longest-tenured White Sox pitcher and currently their primary starter, has been successful in his second full season. Despite a poor start to the season, Martin has been consistent with his knowledge of his pitch and improved his performance against Kansas City. He is currently 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA over 18 innings, with 15 strikeouts and four walks. Martin credits his success to a combination of 94 mph four seamer and a sinker that have been successful so far. Despite acknowledging room for improvement, Martin acknowledged that there are still many things to be done better. The White Sox team's 2.25 ERA since April 3 was second-best in baseball.
