WME Laying Off 30 Staffers, 3% of Headcount, After Going Private Last Year: ‘Our Industry Is Undergoing Profound Change’

WME is laying off 30 employees, representing about 3% of the total workforce, in an effort to streamline operations amid industrywide shifts. The layoffs were announced by co-chairmen Richard Weitz and Christian Muirhead in an internal memo. The move comes a year after Endeavor announced its intention to go private and change its name to WME Group.
