Julieta Venegas dedicated her award to those facing separation due to detentions or Deportations at the Billboard Latin Women in Music 2026 special on Thursday (April 23) on Telemundo. She performed "La Líeneg,” a song originally written with Yahritza y Su Esencia, which captures the separation brought about by the border. Natalia Lafourcade presented the award to VenEGas, who was introduced as an inspiration and a refuge during her youth. The event, hosted by Chiquis, also included Rosalía as Woman of the Year and Gloria Trevi, Lola Indigo, Ivy Queen, and Young Miko.
