The United Way of Bucks County has established a permanent home for its assistance to families in the county facing hardship. The move was secured by U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1), who secured $4.25 million in federal funding to support the new facility. The new location in Levittown, Pennsylvania, will create a centralized hub for assistance and allows families to access services quickly and in one place. The United Way serves people in every municipality county-wide and focuses on ALICE households, particularly working families who struggle to afford basic necessities. Since opening in 2020, the HELP Center's scheduled visits have increased by over 1,400 percent, with roughly 15,000 unique consumers now served each year.
