On March 29, 12 tons of KitKats were stolen from Italy and Poland, with both the chocolate bars and the truck carrying them disappearing. Nestle is now asking the public to help find the stolen bars. The theft, which occurred in Europe, is not expected to affect candy sold in the US. The Stolen KitKat Tracker was launched on April 1, allowing users to enter their candy's 8-digit batch number to confirm if they are from the missing group. Other brands have already commented on the theft, with some using the company's slogan: "Gimme a break."
