D4vd, a platinum-selling singer and musician, has been charged with first-degree murder in the dismembered and decomposed remains of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas. Prosecutors claim that D4vd was the last person to drive his Tesla before the girl's body was found in the trunk. The platinum-sellers' lawyers requested that his preliminary hearing be delayed several weeks and has now been postponed to May 26. Prosecutors allege that Burke began a sexual relationship with Rivas when she was 13 and was informed of her age in February 2024. If convicted, Burke faces either life in state prison, without parole, or the death penalty. The case involves a large volume of evidence, including material obtained through a wiretap, and three grand juries were convened to investigate.
