Casa Juani, a new Spanish restaurant from former Frasca chefs Eduardo Valle Lobo and Kelly Jeun, opened its doors this month at 901 Pearl St. with 100 seats and an 18-seat patio. The menu features tapas and raw seafood, with notable dishes like crispy croquetas, battered cod, and crudo. The restaurant's name follows the restaurant's namesake, Juani. The Spanish-inspired approach to sharing is led by Spanish wines and cocktails, with local beers and Spanish wines on the beverage menu. The success of Casa Juani comes at a pivotal moment for Boulder, as the city is preparing for a high-profile 2026 event and is set to welcome the Sundance Film Festival.
