German engineering firms saw a 27% increase in orders in March, largely due to one-off orders for large-scale plants and other high-volume contracts. Domestic orders rose by 17% and international orders by 31%, with demand increasing from countries outside the eurozone. However, these gains do not represent a significant increase in demand, with concerns over global conflicts, a lack of structural reforms and potential tax increases.
