Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson has been fined $4,000 by the state Executive Ethics Board for violating state ethics law by allowing former aide, Webb Webb, to ride on a state plane. This violation violated rules banning the use of state resources for the benefit of non-state employees. Webb was Ferguson's chief strategy officer until 2025, when he resigned following concerns about his workplace conduct. The settlement also stated that Ferguson used his position to grant Webb special privileges, another violation of the state's Ethics in Public Service Act. The fine will be paid within 45 days and the rest is suspended on the condition that no further ethics violations are committed for two years.
