John Thomas Jewelers, a local jewelry shop in Albuquerque, is set to relocate to a larger space along Montgomery Boulevard in March, aiming for an April opening. The new 4,000-square-foot space will offer a showroom, double the size of its current one, and will allow customers to watch the jewelry creation process up close. The store will also feature a dedicated bridal bar, private diamond viewing area, custom showcases, a glass-enclosed repair and custom design lab, and a curated collection of pre-owned Rolex watches and luxury handbags. John Thomas Mead and his wife, Janelle Mead, launched their own shop in 2013 and have invested over $1 million into a project into which they have invested more than half a million dollars. The growth is attributed to the trust of the shop and increased demand for custom jewelry pieces.
