Bakers in Portland will be able to compete for the title of ‘Star Baker’ this summer

Pix Pâtisserie in Portland is hosting a locals-only version of the Great British Bake-Off this summer. The "Big Portland Bake Show" will take place over three weekends, with three sets of six contestants competing in the signature challenge, technical challenge, and showstopper. After the competition, one contestant will be named "Star Baker." The overall champion will win a kitchen stand mixer. The contest is open to amateur bakers 18 and over in the Portland metro area. Registration opens on May 4 at 8 a.m.
