U.S. stocks fell sharply this morning, with the Dow Jones index falling more than 300 points and the NASDAQ falling 1.25% to 21,876.31. The S&P 500 also dropped, dropping 0.93% to 6,563.00. In other news, U.S., initial jobless claims dropped by 8,000 from the previous week to 205,000 in the second week of March, compared to market estimates of 2,000 gains. The Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index surged to 18.1 in March, marking the highest reading since September 2025. European shares also fell, with European shares falling 2.8%, while Spain's IBEX 35 Index fell 2.9%.
