Cathedral boys basketball team is aiming for its fifth consecutive state championship, its first since 2022. The team has beaten both No. 1 and No. 2 teams in Class 3A (Silver Creek and Princeton) in semi-state games, and is looking to bring a state championship back to Cathedral. Senior guard Julien Smith and senior guard Keaton Aldridge are among the team's key players for the upcoming game, with their focus being to play their own game. The game will be played against New Haven, which is playing its first ever state championship game.
