The incident occurred during the sixth inning when Lee was slow to get up following a tag play. However, Rushing insisted that the moment was taken out of context and that he was not directly targeting Lee. He also mentioned that he had checked with Dodgers infielder Hyeseong Kim to ensure Lee was well-received. The video of Rushing's apparent expletive was viewed more than 1 million times on social media.
