Jacob Tierney, creator of Heated Rivalry, has revealed details of the season two of the show, set to film this summer and debut in April 2027. The sequel to The Long Game will be adapted into season two, with some "parts" of her 2021 novel Role Model added in. This includes new characters Troy Barrett, Ilya Rozanov, and Harris Drover. However, adapting both books has been a challenge as they are set 10 years after the events of the first Heated Riot. The adaptation of both books is described as "gamey" like eating venison.
