Andrej Karpathy, former Tesla AI chief and ex-OpenAI researcher, has stated that the rapid rise of AI agents has fundamentally transformed how software is built. Speaking on the No Priors podcast, Karpath revealed that he has barely written code in recent months due to the increasing role of artificial intelligence agents in programming. He described feeling in a state of psychosis as he tries to understand the full scope of what the technology can achieve. He also revealed that his AI-powered assistant, Dobby, can connect multiple smart-home systems into one interface and manage household functions.
