Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the Model S and Model X vehicles are over, with only a few hundred remaining unsold. This comes as sales of the Model X and Model S have fallen steadily as the company's high-volume and cheaper entries, the Model 3 and Model Y, took over. Instead of replacing them with a lower-cost EV, Musk is focusing on the Optimus robot and Cybercab, an all-electric two-seater autonomous vehicle that was first shown as a concept in 2024. The company plans to begin producing the Cyberbab this month at its factory in Austin, Texas. However, its growth has stalled and even reversed, with Tesla reporting a decrease in sales for the second consecutive year in 2025.
