The University of Pittsburgh students have been tracking the Orion spacecraft, one of eight universities chosen by NASA to monitor it. The students and the Panther Amateur Radio Club built an antenna to collect radio signals from the spacecraft. The data will be sent to NASA as part of a program to help them understand how educational institutions can assist in future space programs. The astronauts are expected to return to Earth on Friday evening.
