Student Voter Program Crumbles As Trump Admin Probes Election Influence Scheme

The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), a nonprofit organization that collects data from thousands of universities, is ending its partnership with Tufts University's National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE) program. The Department of Education (ED) has launched an investigation into NSC and Tufts based on reports that the program illegally shared personal student data with organizations that aim to influence elections. The NSC will continue to work with Tuft on non-NSLVE matters outside of the NSLVE program. This termination will take effect in March.
